Agatha Christie is the author of the longest running play in the world, The Mousetrap - and is the only female playwright to have had three plays running simultaneously in the West End. Her plays have been performed all over the world including on Broadway, and continue to receive hundreds of productions a year.
In 2017, a brand new production of the classic courtroom drama Witness for the Prosecution debuted in the debating chamber of London’s County Hall, with theatre goers sitting at the centre of the action, some even in the jury box. The play is delighting critics and audiences alike.
In total, Agatha Christie Limited manages the rights to 27 stage plays by Agatha Christie herself, and by others based on Christie's stories and written during her lifetime, known as The Collection. In addition, the company controls the stage rights to the author’s novels and short stories and has a current programme of new adaptations being written by first class playwrights for world premiere productions.
The company has a global network of specialist theatrical literary agents to support, promote and administer these activities.
