Fuji TV’s glossy two part adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express was adapted by acclaimed writer Mr Mitani, who reimagined the story in a Japanese landscape.
Poirot was played by Mansai Nomura, known throughout Japan for his prominent performances in traditional NO theatre, as well as on popular TV dramas. With an all-star cast, including Ikki Sawamura and Hiroshi Tamaki, the adaptation was one of Fuji TV’s grandest mystery dramas in several years.
