Christie stamps' awards win
A set of six Agatha Christie stamps, commissioned by the Royal Mail and created by Studio Sutherl& and Neil Webb, have now won or been nominated in most of the major illustrative design awards in 2017.
The stamps were commissioned to mark the centenary of the creation of Christie’s first detective story, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, and consist of a series of designs inspired by this and follow-ups Murder on the Orient Express, The Body in the Library, And Then There Were None, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and A Murder is Announced.
Each stamp shows a key scene from the book, with hidden elements that are revealed through the use of a magnifying glass, UV light or exposure to heat.
