Death on the Nile confirmed as Orient Express sequel
The all-star big screen adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot, has stormed international box offices since its premiere on 3 November, taking almost $150 million worldwide to date.
Hot on its success comes the announcement that Twentieth Century Fox are actively developing Death on the Nile, a Poirot mystery that takes place aboard a steamboat in Egypt. Screenwriter Michael Green, who adapted Murder on the Orient Express, will once again pen the script.
The 1937 story is one of Agatha Christie's most famous works and takes inspirations from her travels in the country.
